How To Increase Sharing Of Your Content

Now, let me first tell you that more than 4 billion blogs are published everyday and only some of them stand out and occupy the top ranks in google and get 70% of the visitors. Since the competition is so high, you need to write and publish content consistently keeping in mind how appealing your content is. You also need to know that sharing(marketing) is also important as it plays a key role in fathoming your traffic. Now, you don’t need the word of mouth to share your content, just some social networking apps and an internet connection . Here we discuss a few strategies you can use to increase the sharing of your content and get more traffic thus increasing your rankings.

1) WRITE THE UNRIVALLED CONTENT

Writing the best content is very important. Research on your topics well and use original research resources from the internet. Your content should not be plagiarised. You need to write the content that can outperform all others. Customize the themes and format fonts to make your blog more interesting and the users will feel tthe urge to share it.

Start by including images of what your are        trying to say
These can be graphs, stock photos, screenshots and anything else that complement it. If you want to gain traffic from a specific social network, you must optimize your post keeping that social network’s image preferences in mind, meaning the dimensions(resolution) that the social network supports. It has been observed posts with visuals are more appealing and make concepts clearer. Posts with visuals attract more people and hence they share more.

Another way is to write long but entertaining    posts.
People tend to write long posts that are monotonous. It just looks like someone took everything from a trash can and dumped it on a website(no offence). You should write posts that are long but contain valuable information. To make your points stand-out, use features like Bold, Italics, Underline and also format the font color. Use spacing wisely and keep using the keyword in your post frequently so that the google search engine algorithm puts your blog(by matching the searched keyword) first than others. Remember to keep the meta description(summary of your post/blog) updated as it will result in a high ranking on google. People will only share your blog if they thing that it is better than others. Most bloggers write content of up to 1000 words, therefore to outperform them, you must write more than 2000 words and words like hi guys or welcome don’t count. If time is a problem, it is not necessary that you write 2-3 long blog posts everyday, just do it once a week. Here is a pictorial representation to show you what I mean:

2) CONNECT WITH BIGGER COMPANIES

This is a very important step to boost your traffic. Start contacting bigger companies and ask them to share your content. You can also initiate a shoutout-for-shoutout on Instagram where people post about your content and you post about theirs. If you have some funds that you can spend, use them in marketing your content through bigger brands. This will help you to reach out to more people and tell them about your amazing posts.

A great technique to start with is employee        advocacy.

This is a sharing strategy where you provide your employees with suggested content to share.

As you have already built a relationship with them, they will be more interested in sharing.

If you provide your employees with the right content, you should be able to drive a lot of shares and traffic.
To help you with this, you can use an employee advocacy tool like Smarp. Your employees will be able to see your updates on either the Smarp website or app.

They can then directly share it, or schedule shares, on to social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and more.

It is not necessary that you need to have employees for this method. You can do it with people who you have built trusts with.
As people share your content, they too will develop their brand and attract the right followers. This will be even more beneficial to you in the long run. While using employee advocacy, essentially developing your team of in-house influencers, you should also take steps to build mutually beneficial relationships with external influencers to increase sharing of your content amongst their followers and reach out to more people.
Give something in return to people who share.
You can create a course about better blogging or a free ebook or guides or anything useful that people can use and give it to them, if they share you content. I’m talking about share-to-win things that you might have seen on many websites.
