(1) Finding The Product To Sell
Finding the right product to sell on eBay is very important. Consider taking a look through eBay to find if someone else is also selling that stuff and for how much price. Next, you need to do a market research of that product and get to know about the prices for which that item is being sold. Buy that item for as much low cost as you possibly can but without compromising the quality.
Choosing Personal Or Business Account?
If you plan to sell casually, like selling items you no longer need or want, a personal account is the best option. Pick a business account if you want to sell large quantities or you have items that you have made or bought to resell.
(2) Create An eBay Account
To create an eBay account:
1) Navigate to the eBay site on which you want to register.(They differ according to countries)
3) Select Personal account or Business account.
4)Enter the required details and select Register.
5) Click Sell at the top of any eBay page. Doing so will step you through all the steps required to list a product, including the initial seller registration.
(3) Listing Stuff On eBay
“Now this is a little long process but I’ll explain it in a simple way”
1) Log in to your eBay account.
2) Click on sell at the top left corner
3) Enter what you are selling and the subcategory of that particular item.
4) You will need to upload 12 photos of the item you are selling and enter the description of the item. Make sure you write a great description and upload pics from all sides to make the buyer believe that the product is authentic and you gently urge the buyer to buy that product.
5) Set selling details. Here you have the option to choose whether you wan to sell an item in an auction style or for a fixed price. If you choose auction style, you will have to set a duration for the auction. If you choose to sell for a fixed price, select when to start the listing – as soon as application is submitted or on a specific time. In auction style you also have the option to put starting price, reserved price or “Buy It Now” price.
You can also add sales tax for specific regions but this step is optional.
6) Shipping Details – Here you have to set shipping price(you can also set to free shipping), cost for buyers(varying according to regions) or same for everyone. Package weight and dimensions.
You also have the option to exclude some locations where the item will not be shipped. Set handling time – meaning in how much time the item will be delivered.(2-3 business days etc.)
7) Finally click on list item to list your product.
“Once someone buys a product, you can send them an invoice.”
That’s how you list an item on eBay. This method really works and you can earn some significant amount of money by following this method.
eBay is not a get-rich quick scheme. At best, eBay is a get-rich-slow scheme. Unfortunately, many new sellers get scammed and find it’s a get-poor-quick scheme.
